I Just Took Ten Years Off My Face! (And Also Added Ten Pounds to My Face.)

Remember when I was contemplating whether or not I should get bangs?

Well, obviously I got them.

And I say obviously because I'm impatient about that kind of stuff.

So, before I reveal the "After", let's take a look at some of the good times I had without bangs.

Poses inspired by Toddler & Tiaras

And now. For the moment you've all been waiting (for the past 38 seconds), MY BANGS!!!

I think bangs tend to make me look younger, which I'm not really complaining about. However, said bangs also accentuate my acorn-storing cheeks, which is something I AM complaining about. But I guess there's nothing I can do about that. Except for maybe go on a diet. And obviously that's not going to happen. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I don't think they accentuate your cheeks at all! Actually I think you look fricking adorable AND super hip. GAH. Now I want bangs again. Dammit.

Your bangs look great! I'm about four more forehead wrinkles away from getting them myself. :p

if i didn't have a curly hair, i'd have bangs.

bangs and curly hair don't mix well.

I like the hat. Like they say in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, people are not wearing enough hats.

The bangs look good too though!

You are obviously adorable. And I mean, acorn storing is just smart.

No, seriously though. So much pretty.

I don't think there's any contest. I love, love, love, love them.

LOVE THEM.

Am I being clear enough in my opinion?

LOVE.

Two thumbs up on the bangage. You're lucky that you can work it both ways. I, on the other hand, have forehead for three counties. No bangs is not an option for me.

Love the bangs! Especially with the glasses! I totally went with them for a couple years for the same reason - hooray for looking younger! :) Now I've gone back to more of the side bang, although seeing posts like this make me question that decision...

Bangs look cute on you! But the longs bangs were cute too. Personally, I like when they grow out to a little below the eye and you get this sexy sort of long bangs due that looke so cute on messy ponytail days. Good on you for taking the bang-cutting leap. I'm too scared that I'll look rediculous-is it socially acceptable for 43 yr old moms to have bangs????

The glasses make you look smarter too. Now you're young and smart -- a child prodigy.

I like you BOTH ways! :)

Totally adorable. They make me want to try bangs again even though I have photographic evidence that bangs are not for me. I look like cousin it when I have bangs.

But yours are super cute. I don't think they add 10 pounds to your face at all. They make your eyes stand out more.

I'm just reading through all these comments that I had previously approved, but never really read through- and wow! You guys are all so nice! And making me feel so hip and stylish! THANK YOU!!!

I still haven't exactly mastered the "Zooey" look. It's only happened once and it was a total fluke. More often than not, I look like a cross between an Amish girl and a Monchichi.
